We have two different conversion kits for the original 8 inch Vespa in our program to equip it with a more modern Sprint, Rally or PX engine. These engines have in the original a 10 inch rim with corresponding brake drum and brake pads. Without conversion the Vespa with such an engine would have been higher at the rear which, apart from the optics, is rather inadequate in terms of driving dynamics.

The set described here uses the more modern brake generation with a one-piece brake drum in the technical style of the PX models, i.e. with a brake pad friction surface cast into the aluminium.
