TECHNICAL UPGRADE

Compared to the factory design, the set contains a double-encapsulated ball bearing on the wheel side. This is provided with a lifetime grease filling.

The use of an encapsulated bearing has several advantages:

• The shaft sealing ring is omitted ->less friction
• No grease can get into the brake (if the shaft seal is defective)
• The bearing cannot run dry

On the swing arm side we use a ball bearing with slightly increased lateral clearance (C3). This allows the front wheel axle to run smoothly without play. The bearing clearance allows a tension-free assembly of the axle. If, like the original, a bearing without clearance is used, the axle will always jam slightly and increase the rolling resistance as well as the load on the bearing considerably.
